Gravestone Cleaning Workshop

The passage of time and neglect can result in the deterioration of gravestones in Center Harbor. This workshop, led by Jess Davis, offers the opportunity to help preserve our historic cemeteries. We will be working at the Canney Cemetery on College Road.

Dress prepared to work and bring a jug of water if possible. Tools and necessary equipment will be provided. Parking is limited so arranging to meet at the Town Hall and carpooling to the site is recommended.

Jess Davis is a teacher living in Brownfields Maine and has been restoring cemeteries and gravestones for over 20 years. She follows best practices set out by the Association for Gravestone Studies (AGS).
